Today is Maria's first day at her new job. She is excited but a little nervous. Maria arrives at the office at nine o'clock. A man meets her at the reception. 'Hello, I am Peter,' he says. 'Welcome to the company.' 'Thank you,' Maria replies. 'I will show you the office,' Peter says. They walk through a long hallway. 'This is the main office area,' Peter explains. Many people work at desks here. Some colleagues look up and smile. 'Your desk is by the window,' Peter says. Maria likes the view. Next, they visit the kitchen. 'We have free coffee and tea here,' Peter says. There is also a refrigerator for lunch. 'That is very nice,' Maria says. Peter shows her the meeting room. 'We have meetings here every Monday,' he explains. The room has a big table and many chairs. There is a screen on the wall. 'This is the boss's office,' Peter says quietly. The door is closed. 'You will meet her later,' he adds. Finally, they go to the restroom area. 'The restrooms are here on the left,' Peter says. They return to Maria's new desk. A computer and a phone are ready for her. 'Here is your login information,' Peter says. 'If you have questions, just ask me.' 'Thank you for the tour,' Maria says. She feels more comfortable now. Maria is ready to start her new job.
