Last weekend, Anna and her friends decided to go hiking. They wanted to climb a mountain near their town. Anna woke up early on Saturday morning. She packed her backpack with water, snacks, and a warm jacket. She also brought a map and her phone. Her friends Tom and Lisa arrived at her house at seven o'clock. They drove together to the mountain in Tom's car. The drive took about forty-five minutes. When they arrived, the sun was already shining brightly. They parked the car and looked at the trail map. The trail to the top was about six kilometers long. 'This will be fun!' said Lisa excitedly. They started walking on a narrow path through the forest. The trees were tall and green. Anna could hear birds singing in the branches. The air smelled fresh and clean. After about an hour, the forest became thinner. They could see the rocky path going up the mountain. Tom pointed to some wild flowers growing beside the trail. 'Look at those beautiful colors!' he said. The path became steeper as they climbed higher. Anna started to feel tired, but she kept walking. 'Let's take a short break,' suggested Lisa. They sat down on some large rocks. Anna took out her water bottle and drank some water. Tom shared some chocolate with everyone. From where they sat, they could see the valley below. The view was already amazing. After ten minutes, they continued climbing. The sun was getting warmer. Anna put on her sunglasses. They passed a small stream with clear water. Lisa stopped to take some photos. 'The water is so beautiful here!' she said. Suddenly, Tom saw something move in the bushes. 'Look! A deer!' he whispered. A young deer was standing near the trees. It looked at them for a moment, then ran away. 'That was amazing!' said Anna with a big smile. They kept walking and finally reached the top. The view from the top was breathtaking. They could see mountains, forests, and a lake in the distance. 'This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!' said Lisa. They sat down to have lunch at the top. Anna had packed sandwiches and fruit. The food tasted delicious after the long hike. Some clouds started to appear in the sky. 'We should start going down soon,' said Tom. They took one last photo together. Then they began the hike back down the mountain. Going down was easier, but they had to be careful. The rocks were sometimes slippery. Anna held onto the trees for support. By late afternoon, they were back at the car. They were tired but happy. 'That was a great adventure!' said Lisa. Anna agreed and said, 'We should do this again soon.' On the drive home, they talked about their favorite moments. Tom liked seeing the deer the most. Lisa loved the view from the top. Anna enjoyed the whole experience. When Anna got home, she felt grateful for her wonderful friends. She looked at the photos on her phone and smiled. It had been a perfect day in the mountains.
