It is Easter Sunday morning. The sun is shining in the sky. Emma and her brother Max wake up early. They are very excited. Today is the Easter egg hunt! Emma puts on her yellow dress. Max wears his blue shirt. They go downstairs for breakfast. Mom makes pancakes for them. 'Eat your breakfast first,' Mom says. The children eat quickly. Dad gives them each a basket. 'The eggs are hidden in the garden,' Dad says. Emma and Max run to the garden. The garden is big and green. There are many flowers everywhere. 'I see a pink egg!' Emma shouts. The egg is under a bush. Emma puts the egg in her basket. 'Look! A blue egg!' Max says. His egg is next to a tree. The children keep looking. Emma finds a green egg behind a flower. Max finds a yellow egg in the grass. 'How many eggs do you have?' Emma asks. 'I have five eggs,' Max answers. 'I have six eggs!' Emma says happily. Dad calls them from the house. 'Did you find all the eggs?' he asks. 'We found eleven eggs!' the children shout. 'There is one more egg,' Dad says with a smile. Max looks around carefully. He sees a big golden egg on the bench. 'I found it!' Max shouts. The golden egg is full of chocolate. Emma and Max share the chocolate together. 'This is the best Easter ever!' they say.
