Emma woke up early on February fourteenth. It was Valentine's Day, and she had special plans. She wanted to surprise her boyfriend, Tom. They had been together for two years. Emma went to the kitchen to make breakfast. She made heart-shaped pancakes with strawberries. She also prepared fresh orange juice. Tom walked into the kitchen and smiled. 'Good morning! Emma remembered their first date at the cinema. Tom remembered when he met her parents. They laughed about the funny moments. In the evening, they had a reservation at a restaurant. It was a small Italian restaurant downtown. The waiter brought them candles and a menu. They ordered pasta and a bottle of wine. The food was delicious. After dinner, Tom took Emma's hand. 'I am so happy to be with you,' he said. Emma looked into his eyes and smiled. 'This was the perfect Valentine's Day,' she said. They walked home under the stars.
